Product Information

Handling
All the beer you purchase from us for direct delivery is "bright" beer. This means that no settling time is required: the beer arrives ready to drink and can be moved as many times as you like. Note that it is still cask-conditioned real ale, it is just that it has been taken off the yeast sediment in the brewery rather than being shipped to you with the sediment still in it.

Real Ale is best served between 13 and 14 degrees C, but will be perfectly acceptable at room temperature. Below 13 degrees the flavour and aroma are significantly reduced.

Shelf Life
5L Minicasks are best before 21 days from dispatch and should be used within 4 days once opened.

20L Boxes are best before 7 days from dispatch and should be used within 3 days once opened.

Containers
5L Minicasks are metal construction with an integrated plastic tap and vent. They are recyclable but not re-usable.

20L Boxes are formed of a flexible plastic container with an integrated tap inside a sturdy cardboard box. The plastic inner and cardboard outer can be separately recycled.
